Location Scout Information

For scouting on Port property, please complete the form below and notify the Terminal Services Office at (562) 283-7760 during our regular business hours (Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.) at least two hours prior to your visit. During non-business hours, please contact Harbor Patrol at (562) 283-7820.

For hobbyists and those seeking to photograph or film in public right-of-ways in the Port for non-commercial purposes, filling out the Location Scout Request form will help us facilitate your visit, but it is not required.

If you would like to be accompanied by Port staff, please contact the Terminal Services Office to schedule an appointment.

Scouting on leased property or inside terminals requires permission from tenants. For a list of terminal operators, click here. For a Port directory, click here.

Please note that permission from a Port tenant to scout, film or conduct an event within their facilities is not in lieu of a permit being issued by the Port. You must still apply for a permit with the Port and gain approval before you may conduct your activity.
