Reminder: Pico Ave. Exit Closed this Weekend in Port of Long Beach

Off-ramp from southbound 710 Freeway to Piers F, G

October 3, 2012

The Pico Avenue exit from southbound Harbor Scenic Drive/710 Freeway in the Port of Long Beach will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday, October 6, to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 7.

The off-ramp -- identified as the "Pier F, G Pico Ave" exit -- is to be closed while Southern California Edison crews work on erecting power transmission poles. The SCE project will bring additional electricity to the Port as a source of clean energy for ships at berth.

The best alternate route is to take an earlier exit onto Pico, the "Pier B C D E Pico Ave" exit that is just south of the Anaheim Street exit.

For Port traffic information, go to www.polb.com/traffic.
