Meetings Set Oct. 3 for W. Anaheim Street Project

Port to discuss plans for repaving project at 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

September 20, 2012

The Port of Long Beach will host two informational meetings on October 3, 2012 on a plan to renovate West Anaheim Street from the Los Angeles River to the western City of Long Beach limits. The roadway improvement project is badly needed due to the poor condition of the existing pavement.

The West Anaheim Street-area business community and anyone else interested in the project are encouraged to attend:

  • Wednesday, October 3, 2012
  • 8-9 a.m. or 3-4 p.m. (The same information will be available at both meetings.)
  • Tepechi Restaurant, 1440 Santa Fe Ave., Long Beach, 90813

At each meeting, the Port will provide a brief presentation on the project, which is expected to begin construction in mid-2013 and take about one year. The project will take a phased approach that allows for continued traffic flow and access to businesses throughout construction.
