Access to Queen Mary Open During Queensway Bridge Roadwork

Repaving closes left lane, motorists should slow during construction

September 16, 2013

Repaving work on southbound Queensway Bridge will close the left lane through Sept. 24, but motorists can still directly access the Queen Mary access ramp. All drivers should take caution and slow down during the construction phase. Those trying to reach the Queen Mary should slow down and bear to the left while heading south on the bridge/Magnolia Avenue from downtown Long Beach.

Meanwhile, the Harbor Plaza West exit from the southbound 710 Freeway/Harbor Scenic Drive will be closed through the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept. 19. Motorists trying to reach the Port Administration Building or nearby sites can take the exit before -- "Piers F, G West Pico Ave" -- or the exit after -- "Harbor Plaza East." The exit is closed for a project to repair a fence along Harbor Plaza West.

The Port of Long Beach is committed to keeping Harbor District roadways maintained in good condition and to minimizing impacts of construction on motorists and businesses.
