Sign Up April 3 for Port’s Free Harbor Tours
Get an up-close look at port operations from May through September
March 31, 2017
Do you want an exclusive up-close look at one of the busiest seaports in the world? Register online on Monday, April 3, for a free harbor tour at the Port of Long Beach in May. Watch a new bridge going up, see a state-of-the-art near-zero-emissions terminal at work, and learn how we are building the Port of the Future.
Due to high demand, the Port has implemented a lottery system for the 90-minute, behind-the-scenes, narrated tours running May through September. The online reservation system provides a 12-hour window to register via computer or mobile device for one of the four harbor tours available in the next month. A random drawing will select participants for each tour and within 48 hours you will receive confirmation of either your reservation or your notification that you are on a waiting list.
Tours are scheduled on the first and third Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m., and the second and fourth Thursdays at 7 p.m. The first registration date, for May tours, will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 3. Registration for subsequent months will be on the first Monday of the month before desired tour dates. For example, June tour dates will be open for registration on Monday, May 1.
