Foreign Trade Zone Workshop at Port on Oct. 18

October 16, 2017

Join the Port of Long Beach and the Foreign Trade Association for a workshop, "Maximizing Your Business Through Foreign Trade Zones," on Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The workshop, which will feature industry and regulatory experts discussing how businesses may benefit from using FTZs, will be held at the Port of Long Beach Interim Administrative Offices, 4801 Airport Plaza Drive, Long Beach 90815.

A live webcast will be available at polb.com/webcast.

The Port of Long Beach is the grantee of Foreign Trade Zone 50 (FTZ-50), covering Orange County, western San Bernardino County and most of Los Angeles County. Qualifying businesses in FTZ-50 can reduce costs by deferring, reducing and potentially eliminating customs duties. Many companies are unaware of the cost savings and other benefits that may be attained through the use of foreign trade zones.

Cost for the workshop is $60 until Oct. 5, then $75 for pre-registration; on-site registration is $80. Lunch is included.
