Port officials to discuss projects at Drake Park event Nov. 15

November 9, 2017

Learn about Port of Long Beach projects, jobs, environmental issues and more at a free “Let’s Talk Port” community forum at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Drake Park, 951 Maine Ave., Long Beach, 90813.

The event will focus on the Port’s efforts to enhance its “on-dock rail” capabilities. On-dock rail allows more cargo to flow into and out of Port terminals with fewer truck trips, reducing environmental impacts. It also strengthens the Port’s ability to compete with other seaports.

Presented in partnership with the Willmore City Heritage Association, the program will feature a short presentation followed by Q&A and a chance to talk with Port representatives. This will be the first “Let’s Talk Port” to feature Port Executive Director Mario Cordero.

Light refreshments will be served, and a variety of Port displays will be featured. Please RSVP by Monday, Nov. 13. RSVP for the event here.
