Join Us for 'Let's Talk Port' Forum on April 4

Workshop focuses on updates to Port Master Plan, community input

March 26, 2018

Help shape future development at the Port of Long Beach at a special “Let’s Talk Port” community forum from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, at the Homeland Cultural Center, 1321 E. Anaheim St., Long Beach 90813.

The event will focus on updates to the Port Master Plan, which guides development and land uses. The update is needed to incorporate years of plan amendments, and consider changes in the global shipping industry, technological advances, and important factors such as climate change and energy resources, consistent with Green Port Policy objectives.

This will be the first of two Master Plan Update workshops. This workshop will begin at 6 p.m. with an open house that includes the opportunity to talk one-on-one with Port staff and consultants, followed at 6:30 by a presentation and an interactive feedback activity for participants to provide input. You can find more information on the Port Master Plan at www.polb.com/masterplanupdate.

Light refreshments will be served, and a variety of Port displays will be featured. Please RSVP by Tuesday, April 3 at www.polb.com/letstalkport.

For more information, contact Jocelin Padilla at jocelin.padilla@polb.com or 562-283-7722.
