Harbor Deepening Project to be Discussed

Study provides details on proposal to enhance navigation

November 1, 2019

The public is invited to deliver comments at two meetings regarding the comprehensive study of a proposed plan to deepen waterways at the Port of Long Beach.

The meetings are scheduled at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Port of Long Beach Administration Building, 415 W. Ocean Blvd. in Long Beach. Each session is expected to take one hour. There is no visitor parking onsite at the Port Administration Building. Downtown parking information can be found here.

The Draft Integrated Feasibility Report – Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report for the Port of Long Beach Deep-Draft Navigation Study identifies and evaluates the economic benefits, costs, increased transportation efficiencies, improved navigational safety and other impacts that would result from the dredging project.

  • Billie Jean King Main Library, 200 W. Broadway, Long Beach
