Contractors Set to Learn the Ropes at Port Forum

April 20, 2008

Contractors, consultants and vendors seeking to do business with the Port of Long Beach will attend an informal training forum Wednesday afternoon at the Administration Building. The session will focus on the Port’s bidding processes as well as upcoming construction and design opportunities. See the agenda.

The forum, 3:30-6:30 p.m. April 23 in the 6th-floor Board Room, will feature testimonials by contractors who have worked successfully with the Port, and will explain the importance of businesses networking with each other to improve their chances at winning Port contracts. There will also be a presentation on the Port’s Small Business Enterprise/Very Small Business Enterprise Program.

Key Port officials will be introduced, and the Port’s environmental objectives will be outlined. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
