The agency governing the rail yard next to West Long Beach will host a "scoping meeting" 6 p.m. Feb. 11 at Stephens Middle School to gather suggestions from the public for an environmental review of a proposed modernization project at the rail yard that would reduce air emissions while improving efficiency of goods movement in the region.
The rail yard, the Intermodal Container Transfer Facility (ICTF), is governed a city and ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles Joint Power Authority (ICTF-JPA).
