Port Deep Water Divers to Showcase Skills During 'Divers Day'

Saturday, March 24 at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach

The public will get a rare glimpse of deep sea divers from the Port of Long Beach during the Aquarium of the Pacific's annual Divers Day event Saturday, March 24.

Come learn about the history and recent advancements in diving and watch live demonstrations as divers, including the Port's team, submerge in the show aquarium.

The Divers Day activities are free with general admission and go from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Click here for details.

The Port of Long Beach is the only port in the country with an underwater salvage-and-recovery diving team. In Southern California, only the U.S. Navy in San Diego has similar capability. To learn more about the dive team, check out this video.
